Menu Plan Monday- Week of Sept 26, 2011

This past week we had a great menu plan!
The highlight was a definite pleasant surprise,
the Cannellini Bean and Escarole Dish was awesome....
my girls loved it, my husband said it was a keeper,
and the leftovers were gone the next day.

Super Filling Cannellini Bean and Escarole Dish Recipe

I must say that I did have a menu plan FAIL...
The Pork Dumplings
 Pork Dumplings Recipe
There are a few reasons for this fail:
  1.  Tried to make right after picking up children late from school with baby crying.
  2.  Continued to try to make while we babysat 3 additional children besides our own...
  3.  I don't have a bamboo steamer... used metal steamer and all the dumplings stuck together.
  4.  Should have thought of a dipping sauce earlier than during serving it.
My recommendation....DO NOT ATTEMPT AS WEEKDAY 'SIMPLE' MEAL...its not!

Ok, enough of my venting... here's what we will be receiving this week in our produce:
BROCCOLI CROWNS

BOK CHOY

CARROTS

RED KALE

ROMAINE LETTUCE

  1. I am drooling over all of your soup recipes. I'm definitely going to have to try some of those very soon!

Sorry you had a bad experience with the pork dumplings. Why do things that seem so easy end up being much more complicated? Oh well. Live and learn, right?
